1. Editorial Independence
Ad Astra Journal maintains editorial independence in the selection, preparation and presentation of its journalism. Participation in an event, media partnership, institutional collaboration or commercial relationship does not automatically guarantee editorial coverage.
2. Partnerships
Ad Astra Journal may collaborate with institutions, companies, conferences and organisations on:
- special publications;
- international editorial coverage;
- moderated conversations;
- institutional editorial projects;
- events and other clearly defined editorial or communication formats.
3. Transparency, Advertising and Sponsored Content
Where material is produced or financed as part of a commercial partnership, sponsorship or commissioned project, the relationship will be disclosed clearly. Where the material constitutes advertising or sponsored promotional content, it will be labelled in a manner that makes the commercial nature and the sponsoring person or organisation clearly identifiable.
Appropriate labels may include:
- Sponsored Content
- Advertising
- Paid Partnership with [Sponsor]
- Commissioned Project
- In Partnership With [Organisation] – where the nature of the relationship is editorial / institutional rather than advertising and the wording is not misleading
Commercially commissioned material will not be presented as independent editorial reporting where a commercial relationship materially influenced its commissioning or production.
4. Interviews and Contributions
Statements made by interviewees reflect their own views unless otherwise stated. Ad Astra Journal may edit interviews for clarity, length, grammar and style while preserving substantive meaning. Where appropriate, substantial factual corrections requested before publication may be incorporated following editorial review.
5. Conflicts of Interest
Editors and contributors should disclose material personal, financial or professional interests that could reasonably be perceived as affecting a publication decision. Where a relevant conflict exists, Ad Astra Journal may disclose it to readers, reassign the material or take another appropriate editorial step.
6. Corrections
Ad Astra Journal is committed to correcting material factual errors brought to its attention. Correction requests may be sent to contact@adastrajournal.com and should identify the relevant article and disputed information. Nothing in this policy limits statutory rights available under Monaco law.
7. Use of AI and Digital Tools
Ad Astra Journal may use digital tools, including artificial intelligence tools, to support research organisation, transcription, translation, editing, production or technical workflows. Editorial responsibility remains with Ad Astra Journal. AI-generated or materially AI-altered visual content should be labelled where necessary to avoid misleading readers about its nature or provenance.
8. Photography and Visual Material
Photographs and visual material are credited where appropriate. Ad Astra Journal does not knowingly publish third-party visual material without a lawful basis such as licence, permission or an applicable legal exception. Material supplied by partners remains subject to editorial review and rights verification.
