Monaco and Mauritius establish diplomatic relations
The Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Mauritius formally established diplomatic relations on 25 August 2026, marking a new chapter in ties between the two countries.
The agreement was formalised in New York through the signing of a joint communiqué by their Permanent Representatives to the United Nations, H.E. Ms Isabelle Picco for Monaco and H.E. Mr Milan J. N. Meetarbhan for Mauritius.
The establishment of diplomatic relations further expands Monaco’s international network and provides a framework for closer dialogue and future cooperation between the two states.
