Monaco Reaffirms Support for Nuclear Science in Health and the Environment
Monaco reaffirmed its support for the peaceful use of nuclear science during the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.
The Monegasque delegation, led by Isabelle Rosabrunetto, highlighted Monaco’s support for the IAEA’s Rays of Hope initiative, which expands access to radiotherapy and cancer care, as well as the work of the Agency’s Marine Environment Laboratories in Monaco.
An agreement signed with IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi further strengthened Monaco’s support for cancer treatment programmes. The Principality also confirmed that larger premises will be made available to the IAEA in Monaco in 2027.
Monaco’s participation underlined its long-standing commitment to using science in support of human health, nuclear safety and marine protection.
